LED Persistence of Vision Display
Abstract
The goal of this project was to design a LED Persistence of Vision Display. An arm with LEDs on it rapidly rotates. The LEDs blink at programmed positions so that they cause persistence of vision, making the LED be continuously on at those positions. Utilizing this effect, the proposed device can display characters, figures, etc.
Contribution: I implemented firmware that controls the LEDs to blink at programmed positions. I also designed an electronic circuit and PCB boards to control the LEDs and sensor (that detect rotation).
